Designed by Pozzoni Architecture, King’s Leadership Academy’s new build project was awarded as part of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) Regional Contractors Framework. Preston-based contractor Conlon built our 6,800 sqm state-of-the-art facility which was completed in June 2016 .

Our new academy building caters for up to 840 secondary and sixth form students.  It has 50 classrooms, a sports hall, a multi-use games area and pitch, gym, fitness studio, double height colonnade and feature entrance.

A pivotal element of the ‘finger block’ design is the inner glazed atrium, which as a central component of the school building, ensures the maximisation of natural light into all classrooms.
